intriguing journey into your own mind… :)

VIDEO 4: THE FOUNDATION OF CREATING
YOUR LIFE BY DESIGN

“Stop pushing against 1,000 to 1 odds of creating success and simply restore
your natural power to succeed.”

Video Notes – Some things to think about

I recommend you watch this video through once – there is a lot to think about in this video as it is the foundation point of beginning to turn your life around. Then read the notes underneath the video for how best to use this video in conjunction with the training guide below to get the promised result.

Things to consider…

Taking back ground from the nutter who is running your mind is the foundation of your future success. This is the starting point, the bit you ‘have to’ achieve IF you want success. Or you could choose to consider that I am exaggerating, that is your choice.

Remember your mind will seek to pull you away from this material as this is the bit which begins the process of change. When you get back control even for just 15 seconds at a time you are installing a structured thought technique which will mean you can at any point you notice you are out of control, regain control.

Repeat this video as many times as you need to, but begin to re-take control.

  • Consider, would you creating the future you desire by design and by accident help you.
  • Consider, could this simple 15 second structured thinking technique really be the key to your future.
  • Consider, if it really could be true that if you don’t master control of your mind then you may as well give up. Listen the voice in your head, and search for what you ‘feel’ to be true. Observe the contradiction taking place. If you don’t see one then look again and FEEL the truth. The voice in your head lies to you, your feelings do not. Just considering this teaches you how to use again your feelings as a true guide.
  • Consider, that you are not looking for conclusions, you are merely just learning to look again.
  • Consider, are you afraid to look in the dark corners of your mind. Remember you are not looking now, you are just considering if you are prepared to look later.
  • Consider, does your whole life really suck. Or were there some good bits before it all got bent out of shape. Or is it that your life is just not memorable.
  • Consider the possibility that this is the most valuable skill you could learn.
  • Consider, did you spend 10 to 15 minutes attempting to control your mind for 15 seconds. If you did then consider bringing it in again and again until it is a reflex action. If you didn’t, then consider, why did I think this was unimportant.
  • Consider the fact that if I could force you to stop and spend a day practicing this then I would. Consider why I consider it so important.

There are some very powerful yet simple thought techniques here. When you learn to apply them then worrying should no longer be part of your future.

Remember: The purpose of these videos is not to overwhelm you with information. They are there to guide you to the right way to think instead of the wrong way. You have been taught by schools to cram in information, however, your results will show you if you care to look at them that this does not work. So cramming will not work here. What will work is you disassembling your thoughts and almost effortlessly constructing new ways to think.

Thank you Andy for allowing me to realize that I can gain control of my mind but only if I choose to expend the effort and that with diligent practice because repetition is the mother of learning, anything worthwhile requires me to make it it go. And thank you for creating another way for me to grasp and absorb what you are sharing. I shall use all four ways, reading, listening, watching, and applying!

  7. Larry says:

When I try to hold that one positive moment in my mind; I think my nutter, being frustrated at my success, started to bombard me with examples of other similar moments. But I will keep going to that one moment in time and hold it for 15 seconds.

  8. Jeremy says:

Interesting. It seems that when I find a happy memory, my mind comes up with some reason why it isn’t “worthy”. Then, if I go on to another memory, my mind finds some way to downplay that one.

    • Andy Shaw says:

      Hi Jeremy,

Exactly… This is the power of awareness… Now you can begin to see it when your own mind is attacking you. This is the first step to sorting the problem, as you cannot fix what you cannot see.

      Best wishes,

      Andy

i found it easy to hold a 15sec thought and it was a memory of a lovely time with my ex husband who ran away and left me. is this healthy and helping? i just feel sad and miss him even though he doesnt care about me

  11. Ipek says:

    Hi Andy,
I cant focus on one moment but a memory of a whole evening, and I can only do it for 3 minutes. Do you think i can really extend it to 15 minutes?

  12. dick krafcik lcsw life coach says:

This is a wonderful exercise which enabled me to remember and re-experience the joyus feeling I had and now have regarding my passing my Lcsw licensing exam a number of years ago. And im sharing this (no pun intended here ) as I eat a couple of teaspoonfulls of delicious nut butter!!

  13. Kylie says:

I felt as if I could hold it as long as I wanted to. However, I’m not angry at the moment either. Is this still a good sign?

  14. DVORA says:

    Hi Andy,
When I focus on the happy moment, within few seconds, another happy moment comes up.
Should I make the effort to stick to the first moment or is it ok to wander through other memorable moments?
I enjoy the SMS videos very much!
    DVORA

  15. Weird, but after watching this video I just had an absolute sh#t day. First I had the good feelings and even printed out the “consider” questions. I think my ego might want to hold on to stuff so much it fought back. I even had an angry outburst at work!

    • Andy Shaw says:

      Hi Michael,

As T Harv Ecker said, ‘Sh*t doesn’t travel at the speed of light, it travels at the speed of sh*t”

Think of your mind as a large oil container ship, the ship takes a while to change direction, your mind works in the same way… But your mind differs from the ship on different subjects. With some subjects, it’ll drop them fast, with some it can take years to alter direction… The secret is to just keep going and you will change all the directions you want to.

      Best wishes,

      Andy

  16. Cheryl says:

on the right track here and now. cheryl Gratitude now 4th reading, listening , joting down the notes and applying them that works gradually.

  17. Nancy says:

I keep going to my positive moment and I keep it for at least 15 seconds or more, but then other positive moments start coming up. Is this okay?
There are a few comments I would like to make about the videos and all your videos—I don’t like the music, I find it iritating and I would prefer more soothing music to makeme feel more peaceful.
The other thing is I would like to hear more instructional info, instead of so much talking about the thing to do, but no explanation of exactly how to do it. The lesson on thinking about something positive/happy for 15 seconds is instructional, more of that kind of discussion would be great!!! Thank you for that lesson–I am grateful for that. I feel very good when I do that exercise!

  19. Sherry says:

I was able to hold the thought for more than 15 secs, it went into minutes. But tomorrow I will work on holding that one memory for 15 minutes up to 30 minutes. After that I will work on holding that thought for most of the day.

  20. Irina says:

    Hi Andy,
I can hold for a minute the good memory but in the same time I felt growing anxiety and discomfort and pressure in my body. I start to be aware of the struggle in me and it was amazing. I saw two parts of me-one doing the holding and the other from inside creating that body restlessness. Thank you for the video. It is wonderful tool for learning.

  21. Henry says:

Hey Andy great stuff never heard or read anything like this!! That’s exactly why its going to work!! I’m holding my thought for more than 15 sec and then I hear music playing from my past instead of the silence I experience in the first few sec, Is this normal?

    • Andy Shaw says:

      Hi Henry,

Can you give me a bit more background to the music?

      Best wishes,

      Andy

  22. Kathy says:

It is really the foundation, Andy.
You make it so simple and so easy, something to enjoy doing it.
I really need it and am grateful to get it from you, Andy:)

Also I have made a list of many positive moments from my entire life, it takes
me sometimes 20 minutes to get it trough.

After this exercises I feel strengthened and light inside.
The 15 Minutes I like to do before I go to sleep too.
Thank you, Andy, you really are a Master.
